Scarred with time & hesitant to go

Structured with scrapers, a mile to the sky
Tuscan steel & mazes abound
Built with fear & the constant remind
Of a fragile soul, lost deep inside

Secrets, passwords & silence filled nights
A test of every foot rest & hinge distressed
As the days pass by, u get used to the fog
Settling around to live in piece

A sudden jerk, gasping for air
Mad frantic rush to surface
To breathe so sweet, I want the most exquisite of air
Is that gas, I don’t care

Along came one with a gentle touch
One innocence, offering much
Bonds of understanding, the eyes speak out
